Welcome to Neuropsychological Evaluation and Consultation Services, LLC located in Freehold, New Jersey.  If you or a family member are experiencing difficulty in one or more areas of functioning including school, work, interpersonal relationships and/or basic life activities (e.g. organizing a daily routine), a neuropsychological evaluation may help determine the reason for the difficulty and provide recommendations that may improve functioning in the area of concern.

In particular, neuropsychological evaluations are conducted to help determine the presence of, differentiate between, and develop treatment recommendations for conditions including:

ADD, ADHD, learning disorders, behavioral difficulties, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, stroke, anoxia, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g. hydrocephalus), depression and anxiety.

Dr. Ernst’s approach to the evaluation process starts with ensuring that the client has an understanding of the purpose of the evaluation and what it involves. Next, Dr. Ernst attempts to create an environment that is respectful and sensitive to questions and concerns so clients feel as comfortable as possible. Dr. Ernst has experience working with children, adults, and elderly. Consequently, he appreciates the unique needs of each age group with respect to participating in the evaluation process.  The neuropsychological evaluation culminates in a written report and verbal feedback session that includes a discussion of the evaluation results and recommendations.
